Our core is our whole self and it exists
on a deeper dimension of our being. It is our higher self that
is the center of the universe.
Each of us is always connected to our eternal source and in some
degree each of us is conscious of this. This is evident because
of the lack of ego that is shown. When we connect with the
Divine within we are connecting directly to our higher self,
which is our core essence.
Doing this is simple and it is something
each of us has done naturally ever since we were born. I
considered this connection deep inside of me to be the Holy
Spirit or God within me when I was in my teens and early
twenties. I considered Ephraim (my guide who has always been
with me) to be my guardian angel. This was because of my
religious upbringing.
All religious teachings are intended to
lead us to discover the Divine within where the ego is merged
with the higher self so the names or labels we give are
unimportant. What matters especially as this shift in
consciousness continues it that we become conscious of this
deeper connection to our whole eternal self. This is the greater
purpose for which each of us has been born. This is our gift not
only to our self, but also to the greater world in which live.
When we enter into and communicate with our core essence on a
conscious level we are entering into “the holy of holies”
that is our life force or life itself from which all goodness
flows. This communication comes from deep within our being and
flows down through all other levels of our being to the
physical. It can be and most often is like a rote of
knowledge.
The feeling is that it comes from the
heart deep within rather than the mind, although it is filtered
through the mind. When we “think deeper” it is not really
thinking at all… more like we quiet the mind and look within
and perceive the answer coming from deep within.
In this way, the information coming to
us is directly from our core essence or what I call guidance as
opposed to the information coming from our guides / helpers
which we perceive to be an individualized entity outside of us.
The understanding that surpasses all understanding comes from
our core essence. This is the conscious connection that Jesus,
Buddha, Krishna and many others had. When this channel is clear,
then this is where miracles flow from and where we experience
the indescribable purity of incredible, yet tremendously sacred
love.
This is where in the stillness within
egoism becomes merged with the Divine and we experience
indescribable wholeness and a clear sense of oneness with all
that exists.
How we each do this can be as varied as all the stars in the
night sky, but one thing is certain… we must look, feel and go
within and we must silence our minds and listen to the voice
within. I do this for 2 or 3 hours almost every morning where I
meditate and write in my journal. This has been my way of
connecting deeply for many years.
During the periods of my life where
I’ve been neglectful of doing this, then those are the times
where there is a noticeable lack of centeredness in my life
experience that manifests itself as feelings lacking in joy,
peacefulness and safety. And this is what I think is probably
one of the greatest benefits we receive when we connect with our
higher essence. We begin to feel like we are home.
