Riding
the Pulse of the Creative Wave
David
Bohm’s Theory of Implicate Order
There
is an ever-expanding subtle energy within cosmic consciousness.
The great avatars, the prophets and promoters of religions and
spiritualities reflect it. It is reflected by the reasonableness
and calm of philosophers. Good and caring leadership reflects
it. It is reflected by the exciting search for truth and beauty
by scientists and artists. And it is reflected by the pure love
of a child or of an animal.
This subtle energy is always in movement and is what I
believe to be the creative process inherent within each of us.
But what exactly is this energy and what does it say
about who we really are?
During
the early 1980’s, renowned physicist David Bohm developed a
theory called the Implicate Order that contains the holistic
view in which everything is connected with everything else.
What he called the “unbroken wholeness of the totality
of existence as an undivided flowing movement without
borders.” The
basic assumption is that “elementary particles are actually
systems of extremely complicated internal structure, acting
essentially as amplifiers of information contained in a quantum
wave." And
that any individual unobserved element could reveal “detailed
information about every other element in the universe.”
In
essence what is hidden may be reflective of a deeper dimension
of reality and that space and time may actually be derived from
an even deeper
level of objective reality.
